I am a licensed professional counselor and have provided counseling in the Chester County area for 20 years. I help clients regain a sense of hope and manageability to their stress. I use a solution-focused approach with psychodynamic ideas (the influence of underlying motivation often from childhood.) I like bibliotherapy (the use of books and workbooks) so clients fully understand a problem and ways to reduce their symptoms. Raising my three children, I have a dedication to purposeful parenting, as well as a special interest in grief and loss. Remember, there is always hope and always help.

I have been a therapist for 20 years and use an unconventional approach to working with clients. I am honest, caring and appreciative of my clients for opening their lives and hearts to me in order to reveal their experiences, lives and desires. There are many "professionals" who are hanging up their shingles as therapists and are not fully invested in their work. I am invested and grateful to have developed trusting and supportive relationships with my clients in order to move them on to the "next step" that they dream of.
I am also a trained life and executive coach so I tend to focus on goal-setting and self-fulfilling prophecies that create obstacles.

As a licensed clinical social worker for the past 20 years, I work with adults, young adults and adolescents with a wide range of needs. I am a pro-active, down-to-earth psychotherapist, and truly enjoy working together with clients to achieve their short and long term goals. Through collaboration, curiosity and creativity, I will help you become fully present in the "here and now," prioritize goals, break free from dysfunctional patterns, and discover your inner strengths.

Bachelor's of Science in Psychology, Shippensburg University, 1983
For the past 10 years, I have been raising my son as a single mom and am now navigating the teen years. I am a strong woman with a lifetime of experience along with a passion to make a difference with others. I believe that counseling is something everyone can benefit from. I practice integrity, reliability, empathetic listening and trusting my intuition. I mostly use client centered therapy, along with narrative and behavior modification therapy styles. I believe that with authentic listening, trust, affirmation and respect, a client sorts out their priorities and goals. With therapeutic assistance, one gains clarity and sees their next actions to take. As a therapist, it is a privilege to be there as clients move through the many challenges of life. I am caring, compassionate, trustworthy, and focused with my clients.
